Of The 500+ Books I’ve Read So Far, I’ve 5-Star-Rated Only These 27
The best of my best of my best reads — (segregated) across genres and reading levels/lengths

I’m choosy with my book picks — and choosier with my ratings.
I’m especially stingy with my 5-star ratings. Over time, I’ve only grown stingier — even revisiting and downgrading many of my past 5-starred darlings!
500+ books later, only 27 books have (and still retain) my 5-star vote.
It’s these 27 that I want to share with you — spread (and segregated) across genres, lengths, and reading levels.
Actually-helpful and transformative self-help. Thrilling, touching, and thought-provoking novels. World-dissolving fantasy. Soul-awakening spiritual gems. Inspiring and gut-wrenching memoirs…
This list has (the best of) them all — a perfect mix of insight, imagination, inspiration, ingenuity, and intrigue.
With no more ado, here are the 27— sorted by genre but ranked in no particular order:
P.S. For brevity purposes, I’ll limit each book section to two paragraphs and two “5-star” quotes — one pithily short and the other insightfully nuanced.
